Comedian Lee Ridley, who lost his voice as a child has found a new way to share his jokes with people – his trusty iPad.
Ridley, who goes by the name of “Lost Voice Guy,” has Cerebral Palsy, and has been voiceless for quite some time. That hasn’t slowed him down though, and with the text-to-voice app Speak It! he was able to perform an entire stand-up comedy routine for the first time on February 4th, 2012.
It’s always amazing to see the ways that people use their iPads. It’s such an incredibly versatile device, and that’s probably the reason why Apple’s managed to sell 55 million of them. It goes from business meetings to classrooms with ease – your iPad, essentially, can be made to do whatever you need, as Ripley has proven.
Check out Ridley’s routine in the video below. He does an amazing job, his jokes are funny and the iPad plus the Speak It! app is the perfect on-stage companion. Ridley is planning on following up his debut performance with a trio of shows that he will perform throughout England during March and April.
